A new photo album is up, catalouging the 'One Spirit' event held a couple of Sundays ago at St. Aloysius' in solidarity with the Jesuits who had their cars burnt out. Considering the recurring trend of being targetted for arson, I suppose all the people in the photos should be blurred to prevent identification. All I'm saying is that if anyone touches the Volvo, there'll be hell to pay.

 

 With sincere apologies to Magistrat, as I seem to have stolen all of his photos.

Well well well!

 

Would you know it? A year into this blog and I'm already getting hate-comments. This reminds me of the time when there was a general campaign to 'increase the learyness' (a word I still cannot fathom) which arose from the quagmires of British chav culture. Perhaps our good friend Bobby is of that pedigree also?

 

But it cannot be. True, the grammar is lacking, but most words are spelt half-decently, and s/he even regales us with such gems as 'inane'. No, this Bobby chap seems to have a bit more salt between his/her ears.

 

Lo, I am not heaping praise on the chap. If someone thinks that by posting two half-arsed comments on someone else's page is going to get them to stop writing about what/who/why-ever he pleases, then this guy/girl/person of questionable moral rectitude has another think coming. Not even a burnt out car outside my door (solidarity with the JRS and their lawyer, by the way) would be a good enough reason to halt free speech. Democracy may be flawed, but its take on freedom of speech is its most powerful aspect.

 

So bring it on, buddy. But let's step the notch up a little bit. Think you can make yourself understood without all the obscenities and interspersing every other word with vulgarities, as you do? Please note: I'm not disabling comments so that you can't have your say. Honestly. These sort of things crack me up!

 

Aaah. I needed that.

 

Another blog will be coming soonish, when the muse takes me. I can only imagine Bobby sitting in front of the radiant monitor, fingers-crossed, hoping 'that muse never takes you, tosspot'. Oh but it will, sunny-boy. It will.
